Buhari, Nguema meet over N/Delta, Gulf of Guinea

DAILYTRUST: President Buhari receives in Audience Special Envoy of H.E. Mr Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea

President Muhammadu Buhari will today leave for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, for talks with President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo on further measures to protect the people and resources of the Niger Delta and Gulf of Guinea.

Presidential spokesman Mr Femi Adesina said in a statement yesterday that this was in continuation of the federal government’s efforts towards achieving greater security of lives, resources and investments in all parts of Nigeria and its sub-regions.

He said President Buhari would be accompanied by the Minister of Defence retired Brigadier-General Mansur Dan-Ali, the National Security Adviser retired Major-General Babagana Monguno and other senior security officials.
