Reps Alert!! cancer-causing tomato pastes imported into the country



THE House of Representatives on Wednesday alerted Nigerians on the alleged existence of cancer-causing tomato pastes imported into the country by some unscrupulous people with a promised to unmask those behind the dastardly act.

It has therefore mandated its Committee on Health Services and Drug and Narcotics to investigate the alleged importation of the said fake, substandard and cancerous products into the country with a view to identifying them, their importers as well as promoters and distributors said to have circulated the nation's market with the products  at very cheap prices.

Female Corps member nabbed with 9kg of Indian hemp in Sokoto


On Friday a female youth corps member was arrested by the Sokoto State Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, with 9 kilogrammes of Indian hemp.

The unnamed corps member who is currently serving in Gumi Local Government Area of Zamfara state was arrested along Sokoto-Gusau road in Sokoto State.

N5Billion Recovered From Yemi Adeola, Sterling Bank MD

The Economic and financial crimes commission has successfully recovered a sum of N5 billion naira from embattled Sterling bank CEO, Yemi Adeola who was arrested on Thursday.

Investigations reveal that a total sum of $88 million was traced to a hidden account managed by Adeola.The money was transferred to him from Fidelity Bank.The $88 million found at Sterling Bank is separate from the $115m given to Fidelity Bank by the Diezani Alison-Madueke.
