Second Virginia Tech student arrested in connection with teen girl's kidnapping and murder

Natalie Marie Keepers, a Virginia Tech sophomore, has been charged in connection with the death of Nicole Lovell.

Police announced the arrest of a second Virginia Tech student Sunday in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 13-year-old girl.

Natalie Marie Keepers, a sophomore engineering student, was charged in connection with the death of Nicole Lovell. Keepers, of Laurel, Md., faces one felony count of improper disposal of a body, according to WSLS.

Police have given no details about how Keepers, 19, was allegedly involved in the murder.

Keepers interned for NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in summer 2014, according to her LinkedIn page. She wrote that she planned "to hopefully get a job with the government or an Aerospace or Ocean Company."
