Nnewi—The Police in Anambra State have arrested eight persons in connection with the alleged setting ablaze of a house in Mgbachu village Nkpor, Idemili North local Government Area, Anambra State.
State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ali Okechukwu, who made the disclosure, said, that the arrest was made by the Anti-Cult Squad in the state and the names of the suspects would be disclosed later.
It will be recalled that in the wee hours of January 1, the house of one Innocent Ilechukwu was set ablaze by people he described as cultists, who he alleged to have been sponsored.
He alleged the suspects were behind the arson, adding that property worth N25 million was destroyed as the suspected cultists warned earlier that they would raze the house and did as they promised.
